Brought both my preschoolers 7" android tablets from Harvey Norman for Xmas. Identical models but purchased a few weeks apart.

1st one works fine, second seems to be okay but simply refuses to connect to the play store, constantly gives "No connection – Retry" and shows sync errors in the account.

I've factory reset it a dozen times, trying different things that google says can be the problem (albeit they all end with if all else fails factory reset it).

Tried multiple accounts, no joy.

Both say they are the same model, identical android version, kernel, firmware, etc. Same version of Google play.

About ready to return it to to Harvey Norman but I fail to see how it can be "broken" when it can surf the internet and connect to wifi fine, just not google services.. Doing my head in.

Any suggestions?

Tried doing that for pretty much every Google App on the damn thing, including the play store.. no joy.

Interesting, my Samsung Galaxy Tab S has been doing this since the last Google store update. I have hit retry everything to connect to the store.

Also verified, it's correct.

Also tried changing an accounts password, and enabling/disabling flight mode.

So Timezone has you in NZ and date and time are triple checked correct? - this problem usually happens because Google uses SSL to connect and if the date and time are wrong the certificate is invalid.
