I've been toying with the idea of buying a tablet for some time.

Uses: 
show photos to my mother who has a sight disability - needs USB
kindle or similar app for ereading
email
news

I have an android smart phone so figure it's best to stick with Android.

$$$ are an issue - don't want to spend too much, but do want good value.  Any ideas and advice appreciated.
