Hello

I am going on a overseas trip soon and I want to disable mobile data for the time i am away.

I know I can turn it off from the pull down menu but I am not sure how safe that method is ?

So apart from removing the SIM card is there a fail safe method to turn mobile data off ?

Thanks

Should be safe. The pull-down toggle is just a quick toggle connected to the Settings App->Mobile networks->Data enabled.

Also if you aren't with 2degrees then data roaming will likely be turned off anyway which stops using data on other/overseas networks.

On Lollipop it is

Settings/Data usage/Mobile data

and

Settings/Mobile networks/Data roaming

The first covers all data usage, the second prevents data usage on other networks.
