I just bought my first Android tablet to play with. I know nothing about them at all. It is a cheap generic model and about all I have been able to figure out about it is that it is running 4.1.1. The first thing I tried on it, BBC iplayer, I have not been able to get to work. BBC says I need to upgrade the iplayer app but Google Play doesn’t seem to have it. I have been going around in circles on this but I am getting the impression that it probably cannot be made to work with this tablet. I do have global mode so that is not the issue. There seems to be a lack of clear and straightforward information about this and I would appreciate any additional clarification anyone might be able to provide. Can iplayer be made to work at all on my tablet and if so what does it take?
