Since the 24 April update of my the Wear app on my phone neither of my smartwatches (Smartwatch 3 and LG GWR) will not connect to the phone. The app can't even find the watches to try and pair. Have tried restarts of the watches and the phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Both watches are showing the correct time and the custom watch face that they were using prior to restart. This is unusual because the GWR would normally reset to midnight in this case. I am loathe to do a factory reset on the watches because they are working as dumb watches and showing the correct time at the moment.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Bit the bullet and did a factory reset on my SW3 and after a couple of goes it is working again. Not sure what broke it so badly but plenty of come on Reddit about it.
Will do my GWR as well now.

Required a restart but my LG GWR seems to be fine. Getting SMS notifications, can view my agenda, and AutoWear tasks are firing correctly. This is running v5.0.2.

Yes both my watches working again. They are both running AW5.0.2 as well. It was the companion app on my phone that was updated and therefore decided that it wanted nothing to do with my watches. It's a bit of a PITA having to reconfigure and synch all my Wear apps again some of which still aren't working.
Might have been nice if as part of the update they had warned that at reset of your wearable may be required. I do like that the new app allows me to turn device connections on and off without having to "pair with a new wearable" like the older one made you do. Probably been done for when Google Glass is resurrected.

Me either until I disconnected my SW3 this morning to connect my GWR. Because the layout of the app has changed I couldn't find the" pair a new device" option which is how I normally swapped between watches. So I unpaired it instead and then it wouldn't repair and the GWR wouldn't pair either. I think while the watch is connected it is okay but if you disconnect that's when the updated app decides it can't find the watch.

The settings options are now hidden in a drop down menu at the top left that lists all your devices rather than under the three dot menu or settings cog on the right (as it used to be). That is where you now have access to connect or disconnect individual devices and also synch, check battery and storage etc.

I wish they had updated their help page when they updated the layout. What's the point in referring to toggles that don't exist anymore?

Version I am running on my phone is 1.1.1876095

All good with my G Watch R. May even connecting faster than before?
