Edit title of thread trying to send an ' MMS "

It's not a TXT with a picture attached it's a MMS / PXT so requires mobile data to be enabled and that is why you get that message advising mobile data is disabled

You dont need mobile data on your account to send it, but you do need to have it enabled. it connects to your providers MMS servers and sends the message. Its also very overpriced if you're going to do it frequently compared to just getting a data pack (of any size).

Being somewhat new to mobile phones (yes it;s true...  resisted for years!) I don't get it.

If I enable mobile data, won't I be using it and paying for it  e.g. to 2 degrees?

With mobile data disabled don't I use my ISP?  (And browsing the net costs me no more ?)

We're on prepay...   and from what you say a pxt is more expensive than a txt ?

You can't send MMS / PXT over WiFi connected to a fixed line ISP, The MMSC is part of the mobile network

And as above a TXT is not PXT so check out the rates on the 2Degrees website for sending MMS
