I've stumbled across an unusual problem which uncle google has been unable to help me resolve.
A wee while ago my brother brought mum a Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini as a replacement for her old small phone. Yesterday I set her up with a Google account and put this into her phone to enable contact backups etc. However, upon opening Google Play I found it doesn't display anything at all under "My Apps". With a little digging I found this is an Irish phone* which has been parallel imported.
I've tried all the "fixes" I can find via searching the web, such as clearing the cache and data on both the Google Play app and Google Play Services. I've also uninstalled Google Play and let it reinstall itself as well as removing the Google account and logging in again. Various combinations of the above have produced no joy. I'm wondering if I'll need to set her up with a second Google account and set it's location to Ireland for this to work.
Any useful suggestions to help resolve this would be appreciated.
