Hi

I have a Samsung S4 and the wifi just stopped working randomly. When I try to turn it on it gets stuck on a light green shade for awhile and then goes grey. In the settings it just says 'turning on' but it never turns on.

I have tried restarting the phone, taking the battery out - all the basic easy stuff that I have found from googling and watching youtube videos. The *#0011# thing. And done a factory reset. The phone isn't damaged so I don't think it would be a hardware issue.

I've read a bit about flashing and rooting the phone but I don't know much about it - and worried I might end up downloading something with malware or something!

I don't really want to take it in to Samsung service centre either because its not under warranty.

My Samsung S4 is running on android version 4.2.2

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Turn the wifi Hotspot on and off. That sorted flakey wifi for me once.
