I seriously doubt that it is. I can't find any mention of a Samsung T990S tablet anywhere. It's also stated as using a Mediatek chip, and I don't think Samsung have ever used then as a chip supplier. They've pretty much stuck to Qualcomm and their own Exynos chips for the last few years.

Considering they both look to be the exact same device I wouldn't touch either with a very large barge pole

Based on how Lenovo tablets actually look, no. Logo in the wrong place on the front. Same with the Samsung.

Certainly a fake of some kind; for one thing as far as I know there's no such thing as an octa-core Cortex A9 processor. It's quad core maximum.

Not that it's necessarily a bad tablet, it might be perfectly fine, but at the least something isn't right with the listing.

As long as the screen resolution is accurate and the thing works at least as fast as a dual core I'd get one at that price.

It's either not a Samsung device, or it's one not released in many markets. Samsung haven't released a landscape-oriented 9.7" 4G capable tablet, with the chipset or specs listed, in the EU/US/AU/NZ markets that I have seen.

I am curious as to why msot non branded tablets seem to be stuck in 4.4.x... I like hte idea of some of those dual OS W8.1/Android tablets but am yet to find one on Android 5.x
