Only about 4 hours until the reveal at IFA.

Keen as on the Premium based on the leaks, until the rumoured Ultra hits later in the year.

Who's with me?

The Xperia Z series is to me now what Nokia was to me 10 years ago #megafanboi

If those camera specs live up to their hype and the battery is better than the s6 then I'll be getting it immediately

I haven't seen any supposedly leaked specs, however one thing I notice about every new range of Sony phones is they seem to be 1 step behind everyone else. Whether that be 6 months or 1 year, just seem to be that one step behind.

I would love to get a Sony phone, would go nicely with my PS4, and when I think of Sony I think "Premium", however just that 1 step behind...

Z5 Premium mmmm mmmmm

The back will probably be an epic fingerprint magnet, the 4K UHD screen is overkill but love the skinny bezel (Hmmmm, the image at the top of the page has a much skinnier bezel than further down!)

MINE!

Liking what I've seen so far. Will read up in more detail when I get on the computer.

I think the Z5 Premium looks quite amazing. I am still not convinced of a 4K display on a phone (I still think 1080p is perfectly fine)... But the tech is really getting up there!

I would be more inclined to the Z5. Although the use of S810 is a little concerning given all the issues it has had.

Besides that, quite a nice line up. I do wish they had released an Ultra version with a ginormous screen (>6inch) - not for me, but I know many in the tech community love this size.

Would be keen to see how the battery life measures up and how the new camera performs.

I would love a Zx compact. The z1 is a bit too small now, but the Z3 and new z5 compacts sit just right. Even the regular Z series at 5.2" is pretty good. They have all just maintained their prices like crazy though. None of the big discounts you see on other brands.

Apparently it's a 2nd gen 810 and early reports say heating isn't an issue, nor is throttling of performance.

The Premium looks a beast. Not sure about the position of the the buttons though, especially the finger print scanner. Seems quite awkward.

Early hands on videos praise the scanner placement - it's a logical place, that's where my thumb automatically goes when I hold a phone.

Z5 standard, or maybe premium if not too big in hand, will probably replace my Z2. I would have liked to see a little more flair in the design, but I guess why change what works well. Great to see Sony sticking with removable storage option.

Same here, looking to upgrade my trusty Z2 with the Z5 Premium.

I can imagine with the Premium, you won't really need to upgrade for a good 2 years. It would definitely satisfy my techy itch for that long!
