I removed the mini SD card from my Galaxy S5 yesterday when changing the SIM card (phone was switched off at the time). After putting it back in and switching on I get the error msg
"sd card empty or has unsupported filesystem"
If I put the card in the card reader on my PC, however, I can access the contents - and have backed them up to my hard drive for good measure. Just in case of any card issues I then deleted the contents, formatted the card and copied the contents back again. Card back in phone and same error.
I've googled the error msg and see many similar queries, almost all of which lead to a suggestion to format the card. Not all that helpful now I've been through that stage.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? It's starting to sound like there's a fault with the card slot in the phone. Time for a warranty claim?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
