My wife just got a Samsun S6 SM-G920F which was parallel imported. The firmware its running looks to be Chinese version of Android, so even though language is set to English still has Apps which use Chinese.

Any recommendations of a stock SM-G920F firmware to load onto it? Google shows some good sites to download stock firmware, but no NZ firmware. Would loading a Vodafone UK version work?

Sam mobile and get the version for the carrier you are using

Vodafone NZ isn't in that list unfortunately for the the SM-G920F.

Vodafone UK is, I assume that would be ok?

Probably better than Chinese characters. Take a backup before you upload, if that's possible - not sure I've never tried myself to take a backup.

Actually you should really try to backup your EFS before you do anything. Google "EFSProBackup" and just "backup S6 EFS". If you lose that the phone is stuffed. I do backups using a custom bootloader thing, like TWRP but I forget which one I actually have.

Unfortunately not. UK seems to be the only English as a first language country listed with Vodafone as the carrier.

I would try this one: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/54859/G920FXXU2COH2_G920FXEU2COH3_XEU/

It is the 'open' UK/Ireland firmware.

You won't get NZ firmware as we have the I variants here, not F.
