I bought a d855 lg g3 for 400nzd landed. But when i stick my skinny sim in it fails to detect or connect to the network. I bought it online off aliexpress thinking it was the international version and the specs specified implied it should work here. Help? Please?

3G turned on? Check under network settings that it is set to automatic. Skinny/spark have no 2g services.

Fairly confused now.  IMEI check showed it to be a D850 which is AT&T which is either locked or the frequencies are wrong for NZ.
The rear chassis on the rear of the unit has D850 in numerous places on it.  The sticker that has the serial number & IMEI number states it is a D855.
I'm now reasonably sure I have had the wrong phone sent.

Under the tethering options the Moble network option is greyed out.
