Hi,
Has anyone flashed marshmallow to their S5 yet ?
If so, would be interested in your thoughts.
What country did you use and what PDA / CSC did you use.
I'm keen to give it a go.
Cheers

G900i here, waiting for 2 degrees to push it out.
Honestly since I found the stingy sods still won't enable raw camera2.api I'm not holding much hope for any improvement.
If you have a G900I you can use the international Indian version here and follow the instructions. It says to do a full wipe to make sure you get a better experience but up to you, if it works without wipe just go for it.
I have the Indian international version of the S6 running for a few months and no problems.
Galaxy S10
Garmin Fenix 5
About 4 weeks ago my girlfriend's S5 on Spark OTA upgraded to Marshmallow. Was a little grumpy myself as I had to wait 3 more weeks for my S6.

@haywardb You mean the Samsung Note5 not the Samsung S5
No, she definitely only has the S5 and not the Note5. She wasn't happy about it as it just prompted for a reboot one morning and when it came back up, all her icons had the new round look which she doesn't like.
Its ridiculous how long you have to wait for android updates. Hopefully this does change in the future, I know the guys/girls at Google are working on it.
Android M is a good step forward I believe.
If you don't want to wait you could also flash a custom rom.

In most cases it's the manufacturers and carriers playing with each other.
Some manufacturers are better than others.
(I've had MM for my Sony Z2 (2 year old phone) since Jan or Feb and get security updates fairly regularly. And on the same day they're announced.)
Spark, 2Degrees, Vodafone have not tested and approved MM for the Samsung S5 sold by them, She could have a imported handset that it's approved for
Just had a dig on her phone and checked out the model number and yep, she has the Europe version.
I've got the G900F, Spark handset.
I updated to the French version - CPE9.
Apart from the shape of the stock apps, there is no discernible difference from the previous version of lollipop which I was using.
So, overall, a bit of a let down. Thought there might have been more of a change up overall in the look and feel of marshmallow v lollipop.

Looks good, but not compatible with the S5, nor is it available in NZ, this from Samsung's website.....
"Good Lock is currently available as a download from Galaxy Apps in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Korea. It is compatible with the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 Active and Galaxy Note5 (running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS)."

Does marshmellow screw up the fingerprint unlock on the S5 - its made it unusable on my note 4 - First time after powering up it demands the password, which is annoying enouhg, but probably 3-4 times during the day it wants it claiming that it has been restarted, which it has not since its been playing spotify non stop. Usually when in the car so I have just done the engineering menu stay on when on a charger to stop it from turning off and therefore locking.
Had I known it was going to start demanding the password all the time I would not have bothered with the update.
