A friend has a Samsung S5 with a broken charging port. We've tried multiple chargers and cables etc but it appears to only charge in very short bursts and the phone itself doesn't actually register that it's charging.

She's quite attached to the phone so does anyone have any input on the qi kits you can buy on TM which attached inside the back cover to provide wireless charging 

For $30 it seems like something worth a shot.
