Hi, guys.

I just got a new Toyota Prius 2016 as a work car.

My Smart Prime 6 is having issues staying connected via Bluetooth. During a phone call, it keeps on switching back to Headset Mode and then back to Bluetooth over and over again, making it impossible to have a normal conversation.

I have:

- Re-paired the phone to the car numerous times (giving it various permissions for accessing Text Messages and the Phone Book)

- Connected various other phones (iPhones, Samsung phones) and none of them has had any issue at all

- Hard-restarted the Smart Prime 6 and deleted its cache (which was one of the things I found online)

It just won't work.

I've used it in 3 previous cars (a Toyota Corolla and two Toyota Prius) with no problems at all.

As I drive a lot, I heavily rely on talking to customers while driving, so this is a serious issue for me.

I really hope someone can help me.

Thank you very much in advance.

I have heard one of the guys at work (we've got a fair few SP6's in the fleet) has similar issues with a Hilux (not the latest gen). It's a PITA!

I got him a new SP6, to see if that made a difference, but then work got busy and not sure if he ever swapped SIM's etc.  Will see if he's done anything about it, and if it's made a difference and post back here.

Doesn't look like the guy with the problem has tried swapping phones yet. Will keep an eye on this thread to see if you find any solutions.

Presume you're running the latest update (new FW came out a few weeks ago, main new thing being ability to save to the SD card via the camera).

Thanks for checking.

Hopefully, someone else will comment too.

Vodafone advised me that, since it's a company phone, my enquiry needs to be handled by the Account Manager, so I'll be waiting to hear from them.

And, yes, the phone's OS is up-to-date.
