Had play with a OnePlus 3 over the weekend. This is a very nice phone. The 6 GB of RAM ensures there are no slow downs, pauses or wobbles. I didn't even really notice it's the screen is only 1080

as it is bright and the colours are vibrant, not as vibrant as my Galaxy S7 Edge but still very good. The alloy chassis is very well built and the screen molds beautifully into the body. The Oxygen OS is a good version of Android and looks and acts very much like stock Android.

The down sides were...

1. No MicroSD support

2. The camera is OK, but not great and certainly not as good as say the S7 Edge, iPhone or Huawei P9 Plus.

All in all a great phone for the price.

it's a great phone and have a huge developer support over XDA. I'm looking into changing my Nexus 6 and OP3 is the first choice. Will wait few more months for price to drop.

I have one, did the swap from a s7 edge to it a few weeks ago, so far have had 2 updates and just put myself on the community build.

I like it, the dash charger is really good, I purchased the dash car charger from the UK and it turned up last week, can charge my phone in very little time and a lot quicker than the edge :)

Saying that tomorrow is pixel release day so might jump again after i see everything about the pixel

it does have dual SIM but from what I understand that is next to useless in NZ. My family travels abroad a lot so its useful for them but what exactly its does I will have to ask my son.

Thanx.  I travel to Ozzy a bit and use a Optus SIM as my second one (Skinny my primary) .  With  Telstra turning off GSM  in Dec 2016, Optus March 2017 and Vodafone end of 2017  will need a phone that does 3G on both SIMs..

I only use a spark sim in it but it does support the 4g on spark.

What I am finding really good with it however is it knows when to drop to 3g, my work has really bad 4g coverage and my edge use to be like 1 or 2 bars 4g and get slow data, the oneplus seems to know that 3g is better at work and uses that.

Get 4g when i am at home or the gym in albany as I get 4 or 5 bars at home.

How do you find the OP3 camera compares to the S7E?

Well lets face it the camera on the s7E is bloody good.

The oneplus is not as good but i don't have a problem with the camera etc.  The camera is a lot lower on my list than other things.

Where did you guys buy your OP3 from? Seems to be out of stock on the official site, and I don't want to buy from some random online store, lest they sell the Chinese variant which doesn't have all the NZ bands (eg 700MHz).

If you read the original thread of the oneplus3 you'd see that there is no 700MHz band 28 support. No idea why Mike needed to start a new thread.

I got mine from PBtech, I then placed an order in the UK oneplus store for a case and the car dash changer which i sent to my youshop UK address.
