My XZ updated to Nougat this morning.

Not sure what that brings as it looks pretty much the same but no doubt I will discover things...

Dammit! My Z2 broke 3 weeks before the XZ was released here so I had to get the Z5 Premium. :(

Luckily, Sony are pretty awesome with updates.

Had a look online at what the updated OS looked like and I was surprised how little of Nougat features Sony incorporated into the final build. Looks no different. but maybe not a bad thing as not a bad interface to begin with.

Split screen I have found. Should be able to slide out the Settings menu from the left in Nougat when you are already on one setting so you can switch to another without going back then forwards again but that one does not seem to have been used.

The biggest thing in Nougat is the short time it takes for doze to kick in over marshmallow.

Have to give it to sony they did beat a lot of others to it (samsung etc)

Z5 Premium now running Android 7.0.

Saw a post about it on Xperia Blog yesterday and thought it would be a week or 2 away... Both Z5's in the house updated today.
