Can I do the above with mini HDMI to HDMI, or my sony has mirror cast?

Im looking at a Moto G4 plus, due to its camera mostly.

Im wondering if I can use it as a web browser on the TV as the TVs web browser doesn't work with anything but the remote, i.e. selecting letter by letter, i.e. its stupid not smart haha.

Any ideas?

Chromecast to HDMI is an option.

Hardwiring phones and tablets temporarily is asking for connector wear and disaster. Always seems to go south. Docking is a different story, that might be worth looking at depending on the device. But for a phone you def want casting.

Do I need to buy a chrome cast for that? uggggh.

I have mirror cast on the TV, but haven't found a device that uses it yet.

Mirrrocast is suppored by heaps of phones, so see what you have on your phone.

Problem is that it takes the phones screenbuffer, then compresses it and streams it over the internet so the results can be not pretty and quite laggy. I have found MHL output on my phones in the past to be very tempermental with the output HDMI cable and needing a proper power adapter as well, and then still having the battery go down since it cant quickcharge over MHL because thanks qualcomm.

Im looking at a Moto G4 Plus.

Camera is most important. I want a Redmi Pro due to sony sensor and f2.0 but Ive read multiple reviews saying they were disappointed by soft images.

So one way or another I can use the browser from my phone to the tv?

What are these docking stations?

Im coming from an old Lumia, bit tired of its camera. Looked at an RX100 to back up my main camera but realised I needed a new phone more.
