Hi all

Has anyone done an update on their HTC 10 to Nougat yet? I've tried all manner of update files from HTC but they don't seem to be the correct update file - US only maybe? Even the unlocked/developer ones are a no go.

Cheers

I'm interested in this as well. With Noel Leeming selling the HTC 10, and being $300 off at the moment, I'm wondering where you would get updates from if the phone is not carrier-supplied and the manufacturer's presence is almost non-existent here.

Was waiting for the post xmas drop in price..

Might have to buy it now. Slap a 128Gb sd card and its going to be approximately half the price of the iphone 7 I bought for the other half....

A.

Man I wish someone would do an updated camera comparison against the S7 Edge.

It's a brilliant phone, loving it so far. I would have bought the S7 but Noel leeming ran out of stock in a day apparently - thanks for the update kickass

I ordered mine yesterday. 😊
My m7 has been starting to slow down recently.
Planning on sticking a 128Gb Samsung evo plus sd card I picked up in USA for $70.

Currently using a Huawei Mate 9, after having the Huawei P9 since launch but before that it was HTC - from M7 to 10. The HTC hardware and software are brilliant.

Interesting interesting. A lot of people saying the 10 improved hugely with some of the updates over the year to be on par with the s7e

The HTC 10 camera is really good and better than previous versions but not as sharp as the Huawei Mate 9.

I finally upgraded my HTC One M7 and got the HTC 10 from Noel Leeming in the post-Christmas sale, and I started looking around for information on software updates today.

Remembering the comment from @Kickass I started with Noel Leeming. They know nothing about updates and say they will come from the manufacturer.

So I contacted HTC via their online chat and they know nothing about updates and say they will come from the carrier, even though I pointed out the carrier (Spark, in my case) never sold or supported the phone.

But I contacted Spark anyway and they say the updates will come from the manufacturer, so to keep checking Settings > About > Software updates and updates to Android, Sense, etc. will show up there when they're ready, though I may have to wait until the Australian updates are released.

My understanding though, after reading several other forums, is that there was a holdup with Nougat for the HTC 10 due to some bugs, but it has now started to be released in the US, Canada and UK. I'm guessing Australia will be a bit further down the list.

Upgrades depend on the model you have (and carrier linked to that model), not to the SIM card in it. If you get a HTC M10 in New Zealand but sourced from Australia then it might have to wait for updates released there. You might have an idea of which operator is linked to your device by looking at OS build and other info - I can't remember how you find it but someone else here will do.

OTA Nougat update appeared on HTC 10 today (I purchased it at Noel Leeming on boxing day).  It's on the Spark network.

I had been checking regularly over the past fortnight or so because the Aussie Nougat HTC 10 updates started rolling out then.
