My GPS is not working. If I use Google Maps, it shows approximately where I am, but not as exact as I would expect. Turn by turn navigation isn't working either.

I've tried everything possible that I can think of (yes, been googling and youtube'ing).

I've downloaded an app called GPS Status and it shows that I don't connect to any satellites (it says 0/0 under Fix/Sats.).

I'm starting to think that the GPS antenna is faulty, but my colleague says that there's no actual GPS antenna in the S7. Is that true?

Also, I've tried *#0*# and Sensor.

Every time I switch the phone off, I have to recalibrate (to get the blue line). But GPS still doesn't work afterwards. Not sure if it has an impact?

I have had exactly the same issue with S2 & S4. In the end i have up on Samsung. I must say gadgets just fail when me and my dad goes near them.

The S7 definitely has GPS antenna. I find it to be the most accurate of any of the androids I've owned.

Are you running tyre stock software, no root etc?

My theory with my other Samsungs is the gps module failed. Presumably this has happened too but who knows
