From the ever-reliable leaker, Evan Blass.

With Samsung and LG moving this year to minimise top and bottom bezels, I wonder how long before Huawei feels obliged to follow suit?

A little underwhelmed for this one. Official specs here. I was half expecting waterproofness or better speakers and maybe updated camera. From the looks of it, its using the same (if not similar) camera set up as the P9.

Only true enhancement is the processor and RAM. Design is pretty much the same except the finger print sensor is now up front.

Would be good to see release price in NZ and if any deals are on

And then there is the large top and bottom chin. So 2016!

Reminds me of a bigger Samsung Galaxy S2 from long ago, for some reason. lol. I personally think the camera on this will be much better than the camera on the G6. But I am liking the build and design of the G6.

I actually noticed that the P10 Plus is a bit water resistant - IPX3

I'm open minded to the idea; Google has thrown New Zealand under the bus, Samsung is still the horrifying dumpster fire of crapware thus the only saving grace is Huawei - lets hope they step up to the challenge and deliver it at a decent price along with Android security updates.

If you've been here long enough you'd know that I have an iPhone 6s not because I love the iPhone 6s but because it is the one that sucks the least when compared to the other options. I always keep my options open - if Samsung created a crapware free phone tomorrow then I'd be first inline to buy it just as if HTC were to provide updates regularly rather than leaving NZ customers months behind other regions then their product would become a viable option for me. So you've labelled me something that all evidence proves to be false. Next time don't just a person simply based on what their signature says.

Updates on the P9+ are slow. I'm on the Nov 2016 patch level, after applying their new firmware in late Jan I think.

Then theres my Huawei watch, which gets security updates every month or so.

I have not seen a Huawei phone yet that keeps up with security let alone OS updates. And if you are against crapware, why would you want a phone with EMUI which puts tendrils into every last part of the Android OS, slaps a horrible UI on top and loads up duplicate apps?

To be fair to Huawei, my last Huawei was a while ago now (Android 4.4 with no upgrade to Android 5 despite promises to upgrade) so things may have improved... maybe.

I am in Auckland this coming week for the local marketing launch . Having used the P9 and Mate 9, this one promises to be great.

Do you know if they have any other bundles they are launching? I remember P9 launched with the free Huawei watch. Kinda gutted to have missed that one out
