just bought new HTC 10 yesteday charged it up and it did a few updates and now running Android 7. When I opened photos app the phone crashed and 5 minutes later restarted and it reported recovered from major error or something.  As new I did factory reset and all is fine. 11pm fully charged 100%. This morning 7am battery down to 50%,  Never so fast battery drain on Samsung.  Checked power usage and Android Os 100%.  checked in there and Awake and Wifi were both 100% all others were 0% or 1%.  Is this normal for HTC 10

No.

My experience is the battery better than the 7 by alot.

Left over night unused might loose 10%.

Mine just lost 10% in 45 minutes sitting idle while I got ready and had breakfast. Left it in lounge on standby.

Okay will try that. Only got mighty grocery app and unit converter on at moment so no big deal to reset.

Are you sure your photos app isn't set to upload all your photos of your SD card? Or check your Google account isn't synchronising you Picasa albums. A couple of possibilities that tend to eat battery, and data...

Thanks for this. after doing this noticed a huge improvement. Last night full charge 10pm. 630am today and still 94% charge.  After the Android 7 update and crashes I reset and no crash since however I hadnt cleared the cache partition thinking no need as breand ne phone. Sure did the trick. So again thankyou.
