I can't see a topic here for this phone....so I'll start one.

I bought one because I really liked what the camera does. My SGS 7 camera just wasn't as good and I wasn't going to pay $1400 for an SGS8.

But.......the P10 has a few things that are proving to be annoying.

First...the screen isn't polished glass like most phones....it's a factory-installed screen protector laid onto the screen. I almost ripped it off when I bought it...and when it resisted I googled it and and saw some photos from people more determined than I...and pulling the protector off basically wrecks it.

Second....some of the apps I use the most don't work very well. For example, Plugshare - an app for finding and navigating to electric car chargers. It works fine on every other phone I have tried it on: Nexus 5x, SGS6 and SGS7, (Motorola) Nexus 6, OnePlus 2....

The app will open fine...and then every action takes ages. You get the close or wait prompt up....and if you wait 30 seconds or so the app comes back. Another Example is Next Charge. I can't upload a photo. Every other phone will let me upload a photo....but I can't on the Huawei P10.

Other than that....I really like it. But lately I've found myself carrying a second phone to use with the apps that just don't want to work on the P10.

That's a bad sign. It means new phone coming up.

I have handled a couple of these and they work very well. Is your one an NZ model or parallel imported? The App should work well on the phone as it is very well specced. Have you tried a factory reset?  The factory fitted screen protector is best left on that is for sure.

I bought it from Spark at Bayfair in Tauranga.

I agree the app should work.....for whatever that's worth. :-)

The phone seems to have anti-virus on by default...and I know from work with PCs this can cause grief.

Try a reset if it still has this behaviour I would take it back to Spark and discuss they fix or replace.

Well....I've been using this phone for a while now...and I'm not really enjoying it. It has some issues with some apps I use frequently......and the cumulative effect is annoyance.

I've had the screen repaired on my SGS7 and I'll probably switch back to that.

It's done.

The Huawei P10 is in a drawer.
