I really like the Xperia XZ premium. Its said to beat a lot of OLED screens for blacks and contrast. Whilst its 700 nits is in debate (noone has tested it in direct sunlight), it does get to 580nits regardless which is plenty indoors. Its just a gorgeous screen and a classy looking phone. Not to mention its one of the few official Netflix HDR phones, along with being 4k (which doesnt make as big a difference at such a small size as HDR does)

I was going to go a v20 for all the hardware, quad dac, dual channel mic, 1440p screen, sd 820, head jack and you can swap the battery out with a charger and 2 spare batteries costing $25nzd landed.

But I was on an aussie forum and there was so much hate over LG due to the issues they had with the g4 etc, it kind of put me off.

Can the 4k screen on the Xperia XZ be down sampled for launching a monitor?

I'd assume an hdmi interface would take care of sending the appropriate resolution and refresh rate to the output device.
