Does anyone know if the recently released MediaPad M5 will be hitting NZ shores?

This looks like the perfect replacement tablet for my ageing Xperia Z tablet.

If yes, any idea when?

Highly unlikely this will hit NZ, based on previous availability of the Mediapads. I had to order my last one from eBay - which I would no longer advise, as usually the ones from eBay do not have Google Apps loaded onto them, and also have no support for Netflix HD.

If you are planning on sourcing it from overseas then you'll need to double-check if the GApps are pre-loaded by Huawei or pre-loaded by the seller - bearing in mind that the seller pre-loaded Gapps will not be certified so you won't be able to use the Play Store or any other Google Apps, as per Google's recently introduced policy.

Ok, so I have ordered from Amazon UK and it has dispatched today (despite the product page on Amazon saying it did not ship to NZ).

Total price was NZ$ 707 - including import fees, so pretty happy with that. Main use will be media viewing - youtube, movies etc. Main reason for buying this particular tablet is that at 10.8" and 16:10, the screen for viewing widescreen content is quite a bit bigger than the Tab S3 (which is 9.7", 4:3).
