hi there
I’m a gardener by trade and I have always used low end phones such as. Nokia, 2 and 3 Huawei lots of models always under $300 bracket . Currently using a iPhone 6 . But I’m now wanting a nicer phone. I have got it down to a few phones a Nokia 6.1 , a Huawei nova 3i and Nokia 7Plus . Would love people’s input to what is the best phone out of the bunch and is the Huawei nova3i and nova 3e the same.
Cheers

Probably the huawei is better bang for buck

One of them has a micro USB port instead of usb-c

Use the compare tool on GSM arena to compare them.

Nova 3e is called p20 lite in other markets.

I was in the same predicament a couple of weeks ago. The Huawei Nova 3i is really nice. I ended up buying an Oppo A75 as it was on special for $389 and offered me the best 'bang for my bucks'. It's a fantastic phone.

Are you ditching your iPhone 6 because of poor battery life?
Price of battery is subsidised till end of the year and the device will get the next update iOS 12.

You can also wait till September 13th for Apple's next iPhone announcement. By then prices of old iPhones will go down.

Either of the Nokias. Because it has Android One which is essentially the best software experience from Google.

OH course I’m ditching the iPhone 6 as it was given to me and it battery is ok but it randomly crashes and I don’t think that ios12 will improve it performance. Battery heath says it 89% . I do have a battery pack that is close by when I’m working.

Nokia models not because of the name but because they promise to do timely updates.  So far they seem to be living up to that commitment.

Thanks everyone who has helped. I’m going with the Huawei Nova 3i as I like the colour.

I'd recommend a Xiaomi Mi A2 or Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. They both run pure Android so get regular Android updates and are extremely good value for money.

Xiaomi phones are very good bang for buck.

If you want fast and powerful phone for minimum dollars, this is the way to go.

Specs:

Prices:

Or if you want an even cheaper phone buy from Ali Express, but bare in mind that you don't want to exceed the GST threshold.

I don't think you'll find a cheaper phone with the same/equivalent CPU, RAM and storage
