Just hooked up a Sony HT-CT80 soundbar and one of its uses is for my wife to play her music via BT from her Huawei Nova 3e phone.

She is pretty tech phobic so I want an easy solution! I can get my Harmony hub to turn the bar on and set the input to BT, but so far I have found the phone is not connecting automatically (I have re-paired to get it working).

I see many apps for BT connections but wondered if someone here could direct me to an easy and reliable solution.

TIA.

Something like this from Ali might work if the speaker has a 3.5 mm input, and you have a USB port for power nearby (for example, on the back of the TV).
Dirt cheap, at $2-$3 as well.

This isn't quite what you asked, but as another solution if required, you could buy a Chromecast Audio (plug it into the Aux) and do it that way.

Means you can walk out of the room too and it'll keep playing, you don't have to flatten the battery by streaming.

(This is what I do with our soundbar)

Thanks, guys. Don't need the USB BT as soundbar has BT.

I thought of the chromecast before getting the SB but, for better or worse, decided to use that money for a SB with BT.

Just wanted wife's phone to auto connect with SB instead of faffing around to manually connect it every time it was used.

Can't see reference to it in the instruction manual - https://docs.sony.com/release//HTCT80_EN_ES_FR.pdf

Agree on the significant advantages of Chromecasting audio over using Bluetooth - including sound quality. Yep, it would cost a further $68 to add a Chromecast Audio, but if it solves a problem that you can't fix any other way it's well worth it.

Price isn't the problem so will investigate the chromecast option.

Thanks, all.

Got a chromecast audio on FlyBuys and I seem to have cracked it. Even think my wife might manage it!

Thanks for suggestions, guys.
