I need 5x Android Smartphones for a day. After which I will probably flick them off.

Requirements are a reasonable screen, camera and data connection.

I'm thinking of spending under $200 each.

Should I buy cheaper phones or Samsung (which may have a higher resale value?)

Carrier will be Vodafone or Spark but not sure which at present.

The Galaxy Xcover4 is a great little Android phone.  Very rugged so can handle a beating, but also performs well and is reasonably cheap.  Maybe not as cheap as you want though, they were around $350 when I bought a bunch of them for my workers a few months ago.

I thought too that would be ideal for this application. But with only one customer lined up to rent them, it's a risky move.

Is there a trustworthy source of used or ex-lease phones?

PM'd info/leads are also welcomed.

We use Xcover 3 and 4 for staff and find them great. We also added the Spigen case as well to make them very robust.

Any phone should be fine. An easy check is to make sure it uses the main google play store NOT a different. We had several cheaper phones staff hated due to this.

Thanks for that. I am thinking of Samsung Pro J2's.
