Nokia 5.1, 6.1. What is the latest operating system running on each of these phones?

Think it depends on the distribution stock/time you got em?

Some are Android one, and others pre one no?. Of course the provider can control security releases. But basic guarantee they'll get to at least 9/10 anyway.

https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_int/security-updates is a good indicator, with majority listed at lease 8(5.1) or 8.1/9(6.1)

5.1still runs on Android 8.0 (Nov patch), rumors it will skip 8.1and be upgraded straight to 9.0

Looks like a slow os update cycle for 5.1. It's good they commit to security patches anyway and it's a reasonable price for the form factor. $269 at a warehouse stationary I dropped into. Not listed on the website.

Yeah, but 8.0 is the reason my 5.1 rests on a shelf. Android 8.0 memory management is too aggressive (buggy?).

My Nokia 5 got upgraded today to Android 9 and January security patch.   1663 mb download, all went well.

Posted here because I think the Nokia 5 thread is now closed.
