Hi, I have a doogee X30. I have malware bytes and bit defender installed on my phone (free versions) and regularly run checks. For the first time ever I have had Malware Bytes find malware, but it can't remove it as 'it is a system app and cannot be uninstalled. Please disable this app manually and we will automatically add it to the white list'.
I am not sure how to do this, or what I can do.

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advanced

Might be a false positive - does it give any details on the dodgy file/software ?

I can't read the entire thing but it reads Android/PUP.Riskware.SMSreg.DROI. Underneath says system application.
When I click remove app it says Doogee is a system app and cannot be uninstalled. Please disable this app manually and we will automatically add it to whitelist. It then takes me to the Doogee app in the apps box.

This is the first time ever I have found malware in my phone.

Downloaded Security Master and they did not find any malware.

Have you googled "doogee android malware" it doesn't look good.

The article you are referring to is quite old. The malware on my phone is less than a week there (if it is not a false positive).

When I got my phone - I purchased it directly from the official store - not a reseller. Malwarebytes and Bitdefender were the first two apps I put on my phone and I ran a scan before doing anything else. There was no malware. I regularly scan my phone, I don't download from sites I do not trust and always research apps before installing.

"PUP" (potentially unwanted program)

Its probhably just collecting user data to onsell.
Just a normal Android thing .

Its may not be whats in the article however your device is not invincible to documented older threats.. signature based AV is only as good as whatevers in the DB
