I need to set up an Android box for a friend. I'll be installing a few apps for him.

Is there any way that I can install the apps from my Google Play account and then delete my account?

I don't want my Google Play account to stay on his box. If he needs more apps later, he can download them through his own Google Play account.

If it's not an app that needs your account to authenticate then just add it then remove when done..

I have an MDM system, I get people to put that on and I use my account to deploy it..

I put a game on my sons tablet.. so we can co-op in a game.. as soon as I removed the account from there he was unable to log into multiplayer sessions..

The app itself stayed on his phone though.. so depends on the app and how it authenticates..

Then there are some that are free to download and install.. but you need an account to log into the app..

The only apps that I have to set up for him are Kodi and Perfect Player

I would prefer not to ask him to share his Google account details with me.

Maybe create an apps only account for them, then pass along the details. e.g. their.name.apps@gmail.com

I installed the apps by using my Google account.
Then deleted my account. Both apps still there and working fine.

Ive had to do that in the past and just got the apk and moved that over. If they're free apps usually will just work.

Correct. If he wasn't as unsavvy, when it comes to IT, it would have made perfect sense.
