We have a TV in our reception area that sometimes has a free to air channel playing on it - Just to have a bit of moving wallpaper really.

I am aware that under some circumstances there can be obligations to pay fees for content played in 'public'.

It occurred to me that having a live news feed with periodically changing articles/weather/tickertape headlines would look ok and provide the moving wallpaper without incurring the possibility of fees.

I can't for the life of me find a nice app that will run full screen (TV display) with regular updating news headlines/articles etc (say every couple of minutes). I am sure there must be some apps that do this well. Anyone know of anything suitable?

A Chromecast?  It can rotate through photos, the latest news, the latest weather etc etc.  You could get an old Gen1 CC for under $50 I reckon.

Sorry - should have made it clear.

I have an android TV box hooked up to the TV.

Its actually a dish-TV smart VU - Actually works quite well with streaming TV, but figured it would actually be quite good to have some type of regularly updating moving wallpaper sort of display.

I thought that there would be a few apps that would just take a whole screen and could populate if with a sort of slide show of regular updating news stories. Most news apps expect that they will present you with items that you will look through. I just wanted something that would do a sort of slideshow.
