Hi All

My flatmate got a Galaxy note 9 on a plan with Vodafone. It has now stopped charging all together after displaying a 'moisture in usb' problem popping up (phone is 9 months old). It hasnt been dropped in water or damaged at all. I have done some looking and it seems like it is a recurring problem with this phone.

What is the best play for getting a replacement or repair from Vodafone? As this is a common fault it will be under warranty and/or the CGA?

Thanks for the help!

Same thing happened to my friends note9 and Samsung sorted it no questions and was returned the following day

So contact Samsung direct on the contact number for Samsung NZ

You don't even need to worry about the CGA at the moment as they have not even looked at the handset yet

Is it better to go through the business who sold the phone or to go through samsung wise for it to be covered under warranty?

Seem to recall another model Samsung phone that reported that "issue" erroneously.

Problem was a build up of dust and grime around the usb-c charging socket. Have you tried blowing really hard into the socket, or very carefully using something like a toothpick to see if there is dust/lint build up around the connector?

Be delicate though...
