Hi.

I am looking for an App which I can use to scan receipts, that will allow me to name the file and then upload it automatically to a folder in my drop box.

I want something super quick and easy to use, set and forget as such.

Does anyone have a specific recommendation?

I use Scannable on IOS, its made by Evernote.  I would assume an android app as well.  Can make PDFs and save locally, or upload to evernote.

Perhaps you can set the Dropbox app to automatically sync the folder in which Office Lens images are saved, but wouldn't it be easier to use an app that natively supports Dropbox?

Personally, I use (and love) Office Lens, but that's also logical because I'm an 0355/OneDrive user (and the same feature is also built into the OneDrive app as well).

I used to use Scannable when I had an Apple phone. It is free and excellent for scanning, especially business cards which it would sync to Google Contacts.

Unfortunately Scannable is not available for Android. However Evernote is (they own Scannable) but the free version does not include business card scanning - it may however include basic scanning such as receipts.

Google Drive app. See the KB article

Don't know about Dropbox & Google Drive Sync. If you have a Dropbox folder inside of Google Drive, then you can specify that as the destination.

You dont mention wanting to extract data from the receipt just upload to Dropbox.

I just use the scan function on my android dropbox app then point it to a specific folder on my Dropbox home.

Thanks! I didn't know that was a thing! I have just tested it and it works quite well.

Content extraction wasn't a pre-requisite and I need to determine if that's a big deal, but certainly this will do in the mean time.
