Hi there

I'm looking for recommendations to replace my Moto G phone which has become too slow and more and more prone to random power offs.

I don't do much with my phone normally these days apart from phone calls, text, shopping list, Whatsapp as I tend to use my Chromebook around the house for anything online or media related, but it gets more used when travelling - photos, airline apps, maps, public transport apps

Budget - as small as I can get away with but definitely less than $400.

Nice to haves

  • Reasonable camera
  • NFC (for Google Pay and the like)

Actually that's a surprisingly short list but I can't think of anything else that I've tried to do recently with a phone and found hard/impossible.  You may be able to suggest other functions that I should be excited about.

Thanks for your advice.

Moto 8th gen is being released soon, some models have NFC, some don't. 8th gen probably a lot larger than the 2nd gen, but pricing isn't bad. There's also the Nokia 6.2 recently released, it has NFC in most markets - it has only just been released though so availability still limited I think.
