Both sites have it for sale but just curious as to which one was best. I haven't had dealings with either...

You might want to wait a few days - the ROG Phone II is officially coming to NZ.

It's not anywhere near as massive or heavy as I was expecting from reviews, surprisingly manageable for me at least. Similar to Galaxy Note and Mate series if a bit taller to accommodate the speakers. The curved back and sides make the ergonomics rather good, and although I say this as someone who prefers big phones with big batteries, I find the ROG II nicer to handle than say the OnePlus 7 Pro, Reno 10x, or iPhone 11 Pro Max.

What stands out about the ROG II is that it really has it all in the way Galaxy Notes used to. Biggest battery, best screen, best speakers, headphone jack, storage, RAM, speed, features etc. Those speakers are VERY loud, haven't had anything on deck with proper front dual speaker system since ~Nexus 6P. And 120Hz is impressive. Think the right folks will be very happy with this piece of kit even if they want it for the beastly specs rather than purely for gaming, much like gaming laptops.

Interesting - looked at the ASUS ROG II phone on Mighty Ape and it says "UNAVAILABLE. Sorry, this product is not currently available to order"

Nailed that reply for me. Note fan until they ballsed up the 10.
Everyone commented on the weight and I checked, it was only 50ish grams heavier than my A70.
I'm not a gamer and was purely interested in the specs, plus I wanted something different from the same old.

OK that IS interesting! It was there just prior to my post. A black Friday special down from $1999... 🤔

Wouldn't expect there's much parallel import stock of ROG II physically in NZ, it's a bit niche and the price is high + only just launched in AU. Last I checked MA only had ~two units in stock. Warranty is of course the catch for the parallel kit.

Think folks will like the intro price for the official launch. ASUS have been a major partner of PB's for a long time and really came to the party for this one. It is a lot of phone and I look forward to hearing what everyone thinks once demos go out on display.

You certainly didn't disappoint NikT! Much appreciated saving me some drama (and money!) Also I can't see your signature on my phone which is why I questioned your initial reply to my question 😂
