There are rumours of Telecom and Vodafone both talking to Google. But of course you can get Android running on some current hardware yourself.

Oh and sorry my previous reply was incomplete - I was on the train after the rugby...

There are rumours of handsets coming from Motorola and other manufacturers. Remember this is not a "Google phone", this is an open source operating system, so it's not up to Google really to decide where/how it is implemented, except perhaps in pushing the first ones out on to the market...
