So I got a notice on my Note 20+ that Samsung cloud was going away, offering to move stuff to onedrive. I don't really use Onedrive, but I have a free tier account and I got an extra 10GB with the phone. It moved 14GB of stuff, but I am not certain what moved or where in Onedrive I find those items? I see some stuff in a photos folder, and I assume that's them, but is there a way to check specifically what was copied?

Do you have the OneDrive app on your phone? The app will give you an option to automatically upload images - those go into a "Camera Roll" folder.

The problem is, there were some files there before, and I can't see what's "new" easily.

I don't use the Samsung space for storing much, but would it move over the backups of my handset? That's the only thing I'm really concerned about - and do I need to move the backup myself or do they do it?
Note that I do have the Onedrive app installed on my phone - but I think the backup is bigger than the space it allows (5GB).

More information about this here: Notice of Samsung Cloud Gallery Sync/Drive Service termination

Note that New Zealand is in the Group 1 - "Beginning on June 30, 2021, Gallery Sync and Drive storage for My Fi;less will no longer be supported by Samsung Cloud and your data will be deleted, as explained further below. In addition, if you have a premium storage subscription plan this will automatically be canceled beginning May 1, 2021 and a refund may be issued to you."

This feature will now be supported by Microsoft OneDrive. The page has a more detailed timeline, how to migrate and how to download the data.

If I read that right, a handset backup image is not affected though, right?
