Yikes!

A heavy object landed on my Galaxy S7.
Fortunately it’s just a toy for the kids these days, but it’s still a good phone and I would hate to see it being broken forever.
However, how much will it cost to fix?
Do I ‘just’ need a new LCD screen and touch screen digitiser? Although phone turns on, the screen doesn’t respond.

Samsung fix about $400

S7 screens are expensive, relative to replacement value - all Samsung screens are. Lowest cost for a replacement screen would be from AliExpress or similar, expect to pay $60-70 for the screen plus delivery. Then there's a cost for fitting it too. Very quickly you're up over $150 & heading toward $200 to fix this old Samsung. Surely a replacement S7 from Trademe wouldn't cost any more than $200? I'd certainly be having second thoughts about the return on investment there.

Really, it's over for your S7, bye bye, thanks for your service, it was lovely knowing you.

Megabyte - so geek it megahertz

Thanks.

No, but it would make a perfect stew.
