So, I have a Note 20 I love, but I relatively rarely use the S-Pen Features.

Accidentally my daughter knocked my phone out of my pocket and onto the concrete and it now has some pretty decent gashes in the corners and camera area. Insurance has agreed to replace.

Trying to decide on the S21 or the Note 20 again. I like the pen, despite the fact I only use it a few times a month at most for a minute or two and could probably live without it.

Are the benefits of the S21 in terms of newer spec worth sacrificing the S-Pen for does anyone here have experience?

I presume a S22 is inbound, but I don't think I can wait till Feb.

Cheers

S21 if you don't need the S pen.

I have the note 20 ultra and hardly use the S-pen. but i must say when i do use it - for fun or in anger, it's amazing to have. i can probably count the number of times i've used it in anger with one hand, and for fun with 2 hands.

what i hate about samsung flagships are that they get longer with each model. a great insurance scam as the longer it gets the more it sticks out, the more it falls out and the more new samsung phones i buy.

You could always get the s-pen case if you opt to go with the S21 and want to keep the pen.

If you are talking about the Exynos variants, then the SoC in the S21 Ultra seems to perform significantly better than that in the Note 20 Ultra.

It also depends on how important the cameras are to you - the 10x telephoto on the S21 Ultra is pretty amazing!

Don't have direct experience with the Note 20 series, but I've got an S20+ and my wife has the S21 Ultra - the S21 Ultra is a pretty significant jump in my books. Looking at the S22 Ultra leaks, it feels like the jump between S21 and S22 is smaller.

The camera on the S21 Ultra is a step and the zoom is awesome. Also feels nicer in the hand, more pleasing camera bump that isn't so in your face. The S-pen case is fine, those that hate on it for it's aesthetics and comfort are just wanting little things to whinge at. Go the S21 Ultra

We're only a few months away from the S22 being announced if you want to hold off for something newer?
