I am going overseas for a few weeks and want to automatically forward my txt messages to an email address.
This can be done with Google voice apparently... however this app is not available in NZ.
I tried to download an APK of the app but all I get is a bunch of adverts.
So is there an alternative method or a reliable APK download site to download google voice.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I'd have thought since Android is so "ha ha the boring apple walled garden, WE can do what we WANT!!!"  there'd be an app for that.  🤣

In the past, I've had an android app called sms gateway, which exposed my sms messages to a REST interface, that I'd then pull and do something with.  In my cse it was mqtt, and notifications, but once you've gone that far, that would be easy to turn into an email.

So app installed on phone and running, and "something" to pull from teh rest interface.  I was using linux which was simple to parse it, but any machine could do it.

Hopefully there's just an Android app that will do it for you.  Seems on Android apps can have access to SMS, so I'd have expected that app would exist.

There are tons of apps in the play store that support this functionality. I have not used them in several years, so cannot really comment on which may be best at present, I'm afraid.
