I'm visiting family and just helped a relative replace her old Samsung tablet with a new Lenovo model, however she doesn't have the Samsung Email stock ap on this device to check her POP3 e-mail address anymore.
Turns out it's not compatible with this device either ☚ī¸

Can anyone suggest a good free e-mail app she could use (preferably ad free) similar to the Samsung one, that she could use to check her POP mail on?

Thanks in advance!

You can use the Gmail app for POP3 accounts.

K-9 Email supports POP3 and IMAP. Highly recommended.

Any that support direct login to servers? My brother uses some Microsoft thing. They store his credentials and login from their servers. Not something I approve of.

Thanks, I gave this a try and got it working but it doesn't seem to be saving sent messages in any folder I can find, even with the correct box being ticked 😕

What is the mail service? You're better off using IMAP if its avaliable. GMail and Outlook apps can both do IMAP and POP

outlook app still supports POP3. It works with most email providers. You don't need to have an Outlook account.

Bluemail is my preference for Android email app, for several reasons:

1: Signatures - Bluemail natively allows full HTML signatures, same with the iOS version.
2: Cross-platform Desktop integration: PC, Mac, & Linux desktop versions available.
3: Sync - Bluemail's MagicSync makes multi-device implementation easy

Check it out - Bluiemail

I tried most of the Android email apps a while back. I've settled on TypeApp as a good combination of simplicity and flexibility. I used to use K9 but find this one better.

any apps from gmail, outlook, k9 will work.

I'd recommend getting them off that sorta email just for security sake.
