I can't get my google contacts to show in WhatsApp and if I try invite a friend just keep getting this message.

 

Can't send message with SIM2 - error 38 

 

I'm using one plus 9. And when I look in WhatsApp there are minimum of contacts, and not my full contacts list.

To confirm your setup, have you set WhatsApp to be your SMS app? Error 38 looks like a network error. SIM2 is definately active and showing connected to the network?

I don't use WhatsApp, but for the contacts problem, make sure the Contacts permission is allowed for WhatsApp.

Stu: ... make sure the Contacts permission is allowed for WhatsApp.

 

Definitely start here.

 

Newer versions of Android will automatically remove permissions for apps that have not been used recently.
