I have a HTC hero and am trying to use HTC snyc software to connect hero to pc via.


i have downloaded the latest sync but all it shows is "disconnected" on the bottom corner when i try to connect hero to it.


I'm running WIN7 64bit but have also tried it on winxp.


want to update to 1.6

You are not using a USB Hub or similar are you?

Nah direct USB to PC.
I think i may of got it working (semi) i have to restart hero.. seems to be working except it says win7 is missing ADB driver.

There is a problem with the WIn7 drivers. There is a workaround for this , have a look here

Thanks got it working.

Im trying to update hero to 1.6 via the HTC site http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=283&cat=2&dl_id=671 but when i enter my serieal it says "sorry this software download is not suitable for this device"

Where can i get 1.6 from?
