If you have an HTC phone that runs Windows Mobile, there may be an android port for it. Have a look at www.androidonhtc.com.

The method seems to be to kick off the bootloader from within WinMo, then it boots up android from an image on the sdcard. I think you have to do this each time you want to boot android on the phone....and it appears to support multiple versions of android. There are screen shots of WinMo phones booting android running the Nexus One boot animation and all kinds of other awesome-looking fun stuff.

I've run this on my Telecom Touch Pro 2. Boots up and Android runs great although just lacking functionality at the mo. No texting, wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth but given a bit of time all that will be fixed. Seems to be quite a bit of development on it so may not be long and even a donation poll on XDADev.

I've yet to try the latest port on my TP2. I did get an early version going on my HTC Titan in early 2009 and it was quite usable for day to day use for texting and calling.

Okay, I'm going to try it tonight!

Had a go and it's not bad, 2.0.1 looks really good. I could make and receive calls, but there was no sound. I could make and receive texts fine. Wifi didnt work, didnt try GPS. Couldnt get data to connect. The slide out keyboard works when inputting text. Nice photos/album application. Hardware keys work fine, call start/end, back and home.

Looks really good. Still lots of work required. Will try again in a month to see how the development is going.
