Hopefully this will prevent some of the mangled attempts at voice search etc....

"Voice recognition settings: Does voice search have a perceived issue with your accent or colloquialisms? New options for voice recognition let you choose seven different dialects of English (US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Generic), Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. "

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Big deal... Would they have something for "Brazilian living in New Zealand for 14 years accent"?

Then it would work for me ;-)

Yeah i read this and laughed that anyone raised in Invers would still have trouble. However I still want to know if Froyo unlocks any of the hardware in the N1 such as the coloured trackball and maybe wireless N or the FM tuner...

Well it looks like Google is rolling it out now.

http://techcrunch.com/2010/05/22/android-froyo-nexus-one/

But reading XDA nobody else seems to have got it around the world. The US first probably so I wonder in NZ we have to wait for it or find the update.zip somebody will upload somewhere.
