So apparently its coming in August for the Korean version... but now it seems France will be getting it in September:

This is good news for us as France use the same international version we have, as opposed to the Korean version which is slightly different.

I got my GS from Clove UK and I'm using it on the Vodafone network. What I don't understand is, if/when the FroYo update is available, how will I know and how will it be delivered to me?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I believe the official delivery channel is via Samsung Kies. However, I'm sure that once its out, you'll be able to download it and flash it using a couple of less official channels (Odin etc). I have not yet heard of an OTA delivery.

No worries...the other thread is way too long to find anything now. :-)

I'm holding off for the present time, the speed increases we should be seeing with Froyo aren't quite there yet, although the third build leaked looks promising and has Root available, which makes it tempting.

At least we know for sure that Samsung is working hard on the update, their official UK Twitter account announced UK Froyo update for September. We should have one thats stable enough for day-to-day use well before then though.

I just really want Cyanogenmod ROM though, hanging out for that one. Once it hits expect to see a youTube vid of me playing GBA and PSX4Droid via TV Out with my wireless bluetooth Wii Classic Controller!
