ECOTOX released a new version of the firmware - v1.3 - for the Eken M001 (and OEM-compatibles).

But he stuffed up the wifi power by forgetting to change a test setting back to the real one, so it won't connect to anything. He says he's sorting it out and will re-release.

Whatever....there will be a new version shortly. 

Stand by.

ECOTOX v1.3.1 is now available at the same link in the original post. The wifi has been fixed. 

Be sure to read the docs.

Especially the bit about using 7zip to unarchive the zip file instead of RAR.

I downloaded ECOTOX v1.3.1 and flashed it (pic below). 

I've put the zip file on my torrent server and here is the magnet link:

Otherwise you can go to the Slatedroid site and download it from the "Megaupload" file sharing link in the post liked to in the original post. The wifi works fine. This firmware feels very good so far. 

(Photo taken with Nexus One and titles added with Picsay Pro app on the phone before emailing it to myself to post here).
