Heya. Not exactly sure where to put this, but because I am using a google nexus one thought might aswell put it here.

I have an App called "3g watchdog" - it tells me how much 3G Data I am using. I dont have a plan, so i get 10MB free from VF a day. Just loading up the stuff homepage it told me I had used 1.4MB already out of my 10MB.

Is it really 1.4MB? or is the app just faulty? I know it has pictures and everything, but surely not 1.4mb.

Thanks

Is there is a opera mini client for your handset?

Not on the handset but on the Android market yes. Will using Opera or another browser make it smaller?

Why does stuff not redirect the handset browser to m.stuff.co.nz when using a mobile browser

I dunno. I guess maybe because on the newer generation handsets the full site is perfectly usable? I prefer the cut down one though.

Stuff should at least do what we do at Geekzone... If we detect you are using a mobile browser but looking at the full site we don't send ads to the browser.

Get the $30 / 512MB monthly add-on if you're doing $1/day for an effective 300MB / month. With the add-on you're getting 200MB more and you can use about 16.5MB / day and still be under your quota.

If you use it up and need more, you can buy 100MB and 500MB topups via txt for $10 and $30 respectively. They last 30 days and will be used up before your next monthly add-on kicks in if there is any overlap.

It's insane to risk the casual rate. 39MB in one day will cost you what 512MB would for the month on the add-on.

I did notice that one, it's very good of you. I imagine that the people that don't are either greedy with getting Ad Revenue or just lazy to not code something like that.
